1 emacs-no-easy-keys 2 ================== 3 4 http://danamlund.dk/emacs/no-easy-keys.html 5 6 An Emacs mode to help you learn the proper Emacs movement keys 7 8 This mode teaches you to use the proper Emacs movement keys in a 9 rather harsh manner. 10 11 No-easy-keys disables arrow, end, home and delete keys, as well as 12 their control and meta prefixes. When using any of these keys, you 13 instead get a message informing you of the proper Emacs shortcut 14 you should use instead (e.g. pressing down informs you to use C-n). 15 16 The easy keys are not disabled in the minibuffer. The minibuffer 17 has different proper keys replacements than regular buffers and 18 depending on various extensions such as icicles, ido, etc. 19 20 To install, save no-easy-keys.el in your load path and add the 21 following to your .emacs file: 22 23 (require 'no-easy-keys) 24 (no-easy-keys 1) 25 26 You can toggle no-easy-keys using 'M-x no-easy-keys'.
